Good morning Wildcat Nation! Please be prepared for weather related announcements today. We are aware of the incoming weather and will monitor it closely. We are currently planning for a normal school day, but ask that you have plans made in case it is necessary to dismiss students early or later (like we did last time) to ensure safe bus travel. Our main factor in these types of decisions is student and staff safety.
Our high school students will not attend VoTech today.
Let's hope for a calm weather day!
Bloomfield Schools will not be in session on Friday, April 15th and Monday, April 18th for spring break! Have a great long weekend!

After watching the noon weather, it looks like the storm is going to be on top of our district during dismissal and bus route time. At this time, we will be keeping students on campus until the storm threat passes. Predictions seem to indicate this will be around 4:00 pm. If you would like to check your student out early, please do so by 2:30 pm. All students and staff will go to the FEMA gym at 2:30 to wait for the storm to pass. Phones will not be answered after 2:30 pm. Access to the FEMA gym will only be available through the south doors.
Our first priority is the safety of our students and staff and will be monitoring weather for any changes in plans.
Sincerely,
Toni Hill
Superintendent
We are aware of the incoming weather today and will take appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of all staff and students. There is a possibility that the timing will force us to delay dismissal time depending on current weather conditions. The safety of our students and staff will be the primary factor in determining this.
We will communicate any changes in dismissal through our normal channels: Facebook, push notification to our app, and phone/text messages.
Sincerely,
Toni Hill
Superintendent

This is Toni Hill with the Bloomfield School District. With the updated weather report from the National Weather Service, it looks like we could have freezing rain by 3:00 pm. With this update, we have made the decision to dismiss school at 1:30 pm today. There will be no after school activities today. Stay warm and stay safe!
Who is ready for spring?!?
It looks like we may have some icy weather move in late this afternoon or evening. At this time, the forecast looks like we will be in session all day. As you know, the forecasts are not always as accurate as we would like them to be. Our plan as of now is to be in session all day but all after school activities will be canceled. If the conditions change, we may have to have an early dismissal. Please prepare plans for your students in this case. Have a great day!
This is Toni Hill with Bloomfield Schools. Please be aware we have several places our buses will not be able to go this afternoon because of localized flooding. If you know you have flooding near your home, please make arrangements to pick up your student at the end of the day. If we have students on the bus we are not able to deliver home, the bus driver will bring them back to campus and we will contact you.
Bloomfield Schools will not be in session on Friday, February 18 for a teacher's in-service day and will not be in session on Monday, February 21 for President's Day. Have a great long weekend!

This is Toni Hill with the Bloomfield School District. Bloomfield Schools will not be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, February 8 due to hazardous road conditions on our rural routes. We had some thawing today and with tomorrow’s sun and temperatures, we should be back in session on Wednesday.
Bloomfield Schools will not be in session tomorrow, Monday, February 7, 2022 due to hazardous road conditions on our rural routes.

Bloomfield Schools will not be in session on Thursday, February 3, 2022 due to forecasted hazardous weather and road conditions. All extra-curricular practices and games for today and tomorrow are canceled. Stay warm and stay safe!
This is Toni Hill from the Bloomfield School District. The forecast is calling for the first round of ice and sleet to start tomorrow in the early afternoon hours with temperatures dropping below freezing. This combination could cause road conditions to deteriorate very quickly. Forecasts like these make school decisions difficult. To err on the side of caution, Bloomfield Schools will dismiss at noon tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2, 2022. We have all weather make up hours built into our calendar so there will not be a make up day.
