Bloomfield Schools will not be in session on Thursday, February 3, 2022 due to forecasted hazardous weather and road conditions. All extra-curricular practices and games for today and tomorrow are canceled. Stay warm and stay safe!
This is Toni Hill from the Bloomfield School District. The forecast is calling for the first round of ice and sleet to start tomorrow in the early afternoon hours with temperatures dropping below freezing. This combination could cause road conditions to deteriorate very quickly. Forecasts like these make school decisions difficult. To err on the side of caution, Bloomfield Schools will dismiss at noon tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2, 2022. We have all weather make up hours built into our calendar so there will not be a make up day.
Bloomfield R14 Schools has partnered with Hazel Health to offer same day Urgent Care visits with a pediatric provider at school or at home.
How does signing up now for Hazel Health help my family?
Signing up now allows the school nurse to start a visit within minutes, saving you time and getting your student back to class. In fact, 90% of students are able to return to class after they see a Hazel provider. You always have the choice to join the call and you will receive communication from the provider about the visit.
Parents, this is an optional service that carries no cost to families. In order to help students, we need your help! Please complete the following as soon as possible so we know your family’s preferences.
Visit my.hazel.co/bps14 to learn more about Hazel Health.
While on the website, complete the consent form to ensure your child has access to care when it is needed OR opt-out if you would prefer not to use this service.
If you have already completed the form, thank you! Do you have questions about Hazel Health? Please feel free to contact Nurse Vicki for details.

The forecast is calling for snow tomorrow during the morning and early afternoon hours and very cold temperatures. This combination could cause road conditions to deteriorate very quickly. A forecast with this timing makes the decision to have school or not very difficult. As most of you know, if there is a question, I am going to err on the side of caution when it comes to safety. With all that, Bloomfield Schools will not be in session on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
We have 10 weather days built into our calendar so there will not be a make up day.
Have a great snow day!

A student led, initiated, organized project are the best projects! A couple of student council members approached us a few weeks ago about cleaning and striping our student parking lot. They even had the idea to do it on our fall break so it would work out best for them and the school!
We appreciate those who came out this morning to help, and very proud of this group of students taking pride in the school they attend every day!
Also thanks to Causey Asphalt for helping us out with some equipment!!
